Churches Together in Barrow upon Soar aims to encourage churches to worship and pray together on the nature and purpose of the Church in the light of its mission – each church sharing with others the treasures of its tradition.
Towards the end of last year, the Remembrance Day Service was held at Holy Trinity Church. This was full to capacity with more joining at the War Memorial. The service for the beginning of Advent was in the Methodist Church. At the beginning of 2019 the combined Worship service took place in the Baptist Church.
During the season of Lent the churches get together again for a weekly Bible Study and for Friday lunches including delicious home-made soups. The CTIB Good Friday service is held in the Methodist Church at midday followed by lunch together including Hot Cross buns.
Every year a charity is supported. Money is raised by collections at combined services and from donations made at the Lent lunches.
